About
My name is Pete Cheslock and this is my blog discussing some of the technologies that I work with on a daily basis. I live in the Boston, MA area, and work for Sonian, a cloud based archiving and eDiscovery company.
Professional Background
I started in the technology field 10 years ago installing wireless internet services for small and medium business in the Midwest. After completing my undergraduate degree, I moved to Boston, MA and worked as a system and sales engineer for a few different (and moderately successful) start-ups. As well as some time as a technology consultant focused on storage and virtualization technologies.
Currently I work for Sonian, the leader in cloud based archiving and eDiscovery services. I work with our partners and resellers to help them and their staff fully understand the cloud based service, as well as assist with any technology related questions or concerns with the service.
Technology Background
Most of my career has been as a system engineer for companies that have products built on an open source architecture (mostly LAMP). Over the past few years, my focus has changed towards more Microsoft technologies, virtualization, disaster recovery solutions, and networking solutions.
Education
Bachelors in Communications from Michigan State University
Masters in Business Administration from Babson College (Completion: Sometime in 2012)
