		<description>Just try to boot linux with pvscsi driver.
but i didn&#039;t notice speed/cpu utilization difference.
my real scsi card is lsi ultra320.
vmware said pvscsi won&#039;t suit DAS systems.
maybe they are correct. it seems not worth to use it in DAS.</description>

I would install a single drive for the OS volume non-PVSCSI(Windows or Linux), then put my application data on a 2nd PVSCSI attached drive (Exchange, SQL, MySQL) to get the most performance for my application.</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve got boot PVSCSI working fine in Microsoft&#039;s newer OSes but have not figured out how to get linux to boot on PVSCSI.   Funny that&#039;s so much harder.  Why would I not want the fastest (virtual) drivers for the OS?</description>
